(“What’s Good About What’s ‘Not Good’?” – The Proud Version)
– I’ve broken so many conventions and rules as a gay man that breaking a few more is easy for me.
– I’m more in touch with my feminine side than most men.
– I understand people who deal with all kinds of differences.
– I love wearing colorful clothes.
– I have a respectable collection of shoes – in all sorts of colors.
– It’s easy for me to understand women; I know “where” they’re coming from.
– You can talk to me about anything.
– I’m as amazed by flowers as I am by gadgets.
– Communication in a same-sex relationship is easier; we speak from the same “place”.
– Calling people “sweetie” feels natural to me. Also “cutie.”
– My work is mostly with women, and the fact that there can’t be any sexual energy between us makes communication and trust-building easier.
– I’m not afraid of colonoscopies.
– I’m not afraid of pedicures and manicures.
– I’m not afraid of nail polish or eyeliner.
– The apartment I live in doesn’t look like a bachelor pad.
– I love men who wear dresses and do drag. I even married one.
– I don’t have to deal with the rabbinate.
– I love Eurovision.
– I admire women who speak their minds, stand their ground, and create their own paths.
– There are people who don’t like me. Those are exactly the people I don’t want in my life.
– Our flag opens hearts.
– My presence helps change the world (and the world needs changing).
