Channeling on Listening

Tohar remind us that true thriving begins with the simple act of listening

Greetings.

So, we begin. Another meeting in this way, through this means, to share a few words. Our suggestion this time is simple: listen. This is our reminder for now. The effectiveness of this reminder will be measured by your ability to listen – for the more skilled you become at listening, the less you need this message. Yet we offer it, because the need is great.

Human beings rarely listen. You hurry to prove, to justify, to accuse. You hurry to argue, to struggle, to fight. We tell you – you hurry in all of this, when what is needed is to slow down. There is a need to listen: to words, to sensations, to what you receive from others, and to what rises within you. Listen so that you may recognize what is truly happening, what is truly missing, what is truly needed – what the genuine desire is. What you want from others, what others want from you, what you want from yourselves.

Listening is of great importance. If you already believe you know what we are about to say, if you notice impatience in yourself, then know that there is still more to learn about listening.

You do not always know what is about to be said. The speed with which you think you know can cause harm. You do not truly know everything, and you do not always understand everything. If you wish to thrive in this world, you must learn to listen – inwardly to yourselves, and from there to others. Listen, and then choose. Listen, and then decide where to focus.

This is our suggestion at this moment in time: return to listening. Listen to yourselves. Listen to others. Listen even when you disagree. Listen even when it seems there is no reason to. Listen if you wish to thrive. For thriving is born of cooperation, and cooperation begins with listening. Without listening, there can be no thriving.

These are our words for this time.

With pleasure, Farewell.
Tohar.
