Little Grandmother: returning to the heart

shaman Kiesha Crowther on humanity’s awakening, remembering our divine essence, and how to heal ourselves and Mother Earth

At first glance, one might think she is just another ordinary, white American woman. Kiesha Crowther does not fit the classic image of a tribal elder. Only when you listen to what she has to say do you realize she truly deserves this title – she is deeper and wiser than we might initially imagine.

“The goal of my teachings is to reignite within people the deep understanding of who they truly are. Readers are greater than they imagine”, she says in an interview. “You are a divine being, capable of changing the future, transforming reality. You can become love and live from love, thereby healing yourself, healing others, and healing Mother Earth. This is the message I’ve been given to share as humanity stands on the threshold of a spiritual transformation – a time prophesied by nearly all indigenous and ancient cultures”.

We Must Be the Change

Crowther was born into a small, rural Mormon community in Colorado. As a child, she spent extensive periods alone in nature, where she grew up. According to her, she learned a great deal from animals, stars, and stones, and she possessed the ability to sense and communicate with animals, see energies, and work with them.

From a very young age, she began receiving messages and teachings directly from the spiritual realm, as well as from Mother Earth, though she had no explanation for these experiences. Although her mother’s family mostly lived on a Native American reservation, Crowther had very limited exposure to their traditions. In fact, she was raised as a devout Mormon – a belief system that leaves little room for supernatural experiences. She didn’t speak to anyone about these abilities until around age 28, when she was already married and a mother of two.

At age 30, several indigenous elders from her mother’s tribe approached her, telling her it was time for her to become a shaman. They explained that they’d been observing her since she was young and knew the spirit was guiding her. Her mission, they said, was to establish the Tribe of Many Colors, and they gave her the nickname “Little Grandmother”.

She recalls that at that time, she didn’t even understand what the word “shaman” meant. She hadn’t read any books on the subject and wasn’t certain of the role’s significance. Nevertheless, she continued receiving direct spiritual messages indicating that she was one of the 12 Wisdom Keepers currently on Earth. Each of these 12 – none of whom she’d met before – had been taught by Mother Earth from a young age. Each received the same information, she was told, though each had their own unique role to fulfill.

As evident in her videos, Crowther has the ability to sense what is happening with Mother Earth – when she changes, contracts, moves, is injured, or is profoundly affected in some way. As a Wisdom Keeper, Crowther was given responsibility for certain crystals, which she had to place in specific locations around the Earth, strengthening Mother Earth ahead of the upcoming transformation.

Above all, her role is to share the message and help the “Children of the Earth” remember. Accordingly, you can see videos of her on YouTube, where she shares profoundly emotional messages, calling on us to awaken and save the environment as well as ourselves. “The spirit asked me to share a powerful, crucial message – a message for the Tribe of Many Colors, for the children of Mother Earth”, she explains.

What are the important lessons we must learn as human beings?

“The more you love, the more intelligent you become. Consider all the technological progress we’ve created with our minds in just the last decade. It’s astounding. Yet, we still can’t solve some of the urgent problems we face today. The greatest issue is how to heal the damage we’ve inflicted upon the Earth – how to stop doing to her what humanity has been doing ever since we forgot our connection to the web of life.

“If we’ve achieved so much by using only our minds, imagine what we might create if we acted from our hearts! The mind wouldn’t become unusable or inactive – it would become far more powerful, as it would be in a proper relationship with the heart, the source of existence.

“If we stop acting from an ego-driven mental consciousness, we will stop craving meaningless things that satisfy only a small part of who we really are. We’ll stop wasting our mental energy and begin directing every part of our hearts and minds toward healing the Earth and creating generosity for all beings. We could create heaven on Earth, unlike anything we’ve known before.

“The spirit taught me that Mother Earth is sacred and humans won’t be allowed to kill her. She is sacred to all forms of life in the universe, not just to humans. We must raise our frequency high enough to transform alongside the Earth into a higher state of existence.

“We’ve harmed her for so long that something significant must happen to correct the path we are on and help Earth breathe again. For humans, this is an emergency. If we want to remain on Earth as her children, we must shift to a higher consciousness.

“If you listen carefully, indigenous peoples and Wisdom Keepers of our planet don’t say, ‘Now you must go and do this and that.’ Instead, they say, ‘Be’. They tell us to be the change, to be focused on being rather than doing. If enough of us connect with our hearts—with the love within us and the love surrounding us in nature – and understand the beauty and sacredness of this life, we will shift the dominant consciousness in this world from the mind to the heart”.

we still have a chance to change

One of the critical questions is whether it’s too late for us to change. No, Crowther answers decisively. “It’s never too late. Each day we can make a change and become the best we can possibly be – the most loving, generous, conscious, and kind-hearted beings we can be. Often people do nothing because they believe they’re just one person, and that one person can’t make a difference, or that it’s too late to make a change. This is why our world isn’t better today. It’s easier to shift responsibility to someone else. In fact, every person vibrates with energy. Every feeling, emotion, and action supports either the ego or the consciousness of love.

“The global consciousness is nourished by every person. It’s our responsibility to feed this consciousness with love, to maintain a high vibration and create change on this planet for everyone. You, as an individual, do make a difference simply by being present. It’s extremely important for us to be aware of this, so we can consciously send love and kindness into the global consciousness instead of hatred, ego, and negative emotions”.

how deep and sincere is our culture’s concern for Mother Earth?

“It’s very difficult to judge, but I can say without hesitation that we’re beginning to awaken. When we awaken to the fact that a large group of people with power have acted out of hatred, power, fear, and ego, then we can understand the destruction we’ve created. When we awaken, we can stop allowing others to control us. We can begin to live from love and compassion, and create a relationship with Mother Earth and all her living creatures, instead of seeing her as an inexhaustible resource.
“Our planet is very sick because of what we humans have done to her, and what we’ve done to each other. There are only two things on the planet with exactly the same frequency, and these are human beings and the Earth herself. What we do to one, we do to all. We must learn to love each other and to love Mother Earth. We must awaken and remember who we are and what we are capable of through love”.

If you’re wondering how Crowther receives her messages – it’s through channeling, of course. “One of the ways I receive messages and information is through a large television screen that ‘opens’ in my field of vision. Through this, I can also communicate with other Wisdom Keepers and with beings in other places on the planet. I call it ‘my cinema show'”.

When asked how the change will occur in our world, she returns to one of the visions she had in her private cinema show. “Once, I was shown how the shift from mind-consciousness to heart-consciousness will happen. I saw a bobber floating on the water, half red and half white, exactly like the bobber used in fishing. The bobber represents planetary consciousness. I saw that currently on Earth, the white side of the bobber is visible and the red side remains hidden.

“The white side represents mind-consciousness – how humanity is obsessively occupied with thinking, judgment, and perceiving reality from this narrow place. The red side represents heart-consciousness, living from a reality of love; a higher consciousness that makes us aware that we are all brothers and sisters and that we can create our reality. The more of us who shift our consciousness and awaken to who we truly are, the more we’ll help the bobber flip into heart-consciousness.

“This doesn’t require everyone on the planet to make the change, because the frequency of love is the highest frequency in existence – it’s stronger than mind-consciousness or ego. If enough people awaken and begin to live from the heart, we’ll change the dominant consciousness on this planet. We have the ability to flip the bobber. In fact, it’s only a matter of time – I believe we’ll do it very soon, and when this happens, everything will change. Our world will change.

“We’ll collectively understand that we can create the type of life we want on Earth with each other, that no matter what we dream of, we can achieve it. Then we’ll begin creating heaven and finding solutions to our most urgent problems – cleaning up what we’ve done to Mother Earth and creating more balance, justice, and a beautiful human society.

“The key is that we must realize we are God, not the limited beings we believe ourselves to be. We are sparks of divine consciousness. We are not separate from each other or from any other form of life. What happens to one of us happens to us all. What happens to Mother Earth also happens to us. Spirit has shown me that at the time of Earth’s great change, humanity will unite into one family – one tribe – and this tribe will be the Rainbow Tribe, a single tribe created by many colors.

“Every day, we can allow our hearts to be opened by the beauty of creation. We can dedicate time each day to feeling gratitude toward Mother Earth, the Great Spirit, for everything we have and everything we are. We can begin releasing the beliefs and ideas that no longer serve our personal and collective lives. We are not what we do for a living or how much money we have; we are not what others think of us or even what we think of ourselves; we are not our identity, our status, the collection of experiences we’ve had, our successes or mistakes, or even our personalities. We must let go of everything we have been told we should want, everything we’ve been told is important, and decide these things for ourselves from the deepest place in our hearts.

“What is most important of all? What brings you true happiness? Who are you? What would you live for, if you had the courage? What brings tears of gratitude and wonder to your eyes? When do you feel most at home within yourself? Exploring these questions is the first step toward experiencing life from the heart”.

the calling – returning to the heart

The interview with Crowther took place around her first visit to Israel, in 2012. Ever since she became a shaman, she has traveled the world, teaching in many different places. “I am very excited to visit Israel and to teach this message here,” she says. “Israel is a sacred and holy place for many people, and for many reasons. For me, it is an ancient, sacred place of great wisdom. In recent years, people in Israel have been awakening to the heart, to the consciousness of love, and this is why I was called to this wonderful land – to unite hearts together, to provide guidance and renewed assurance to those who’ve heard the call and are returning to their hearts. I am excited to meet my brothers and sisters of the Tribe of Many Colors in this ancient land”.
