Greetings
Thus, we begin. We gather this time to delve into the month of February – the second month of the Year of Choice. A year in which we encourage you, as much as we can, to return and examine the matter of choice. What do you choose for yourselves? What is your essential choice for the continuation of your life? And what are your daily choices, in various moments? What do you choose? Perhaps you choose yourselves as you are, embracing the best possible for you in each given moment – thereby expanding your love for yourselves?
As human beings, you have various explanations for why you do not choose what is best for you – explanations that may seem entirely logical. At times, you justify it with a lack of time, at times with a lack of money, and at times with a lack of options. Sometimes, you simply feel it would be excessive, inappropriate, or undeserving – as if it is out of place to choose what you truly wish to choose and live accordingly.
Sometimes, you explain it to yourselves through others – telling yourselves that you must sacrifice for others, act for others, that others are more important, that their needs, desires, and feelings suddenly become more significant than your own. Various explanations converge at the same point – leading to the same conclusion.
In a rather sophisticated manner, you have created a reality that seemingly supports and reinforces this mindset – the belief that you cannot simply place yourselves at the center or at the top of your priorities and that you must continue being as you have always been. This is a complex and intricate creation – so much so that you may believe it to be an objective reality – as if there is no other choice but to compromise and relinquish yourselves. You may truly believe that there is no time, no money, no room in your relationships with others. You may genuinely think that choosing what is best for you crosses moral or social boundaries – as though it is impolite or inappropriate to prioritize yourselves. You may believe this.
At this moment in time, we invite you to examine all that we have described so far. We encourage you to pay attention to the moments when you compromise and relinquish yourselves, to the justifications you provide for self-sacrifice, and to explore the possibility that perhaps there is another way.
Could there be another path? Could there be another choice? Might there, in fact, be time, money, or space? Perhaps possibilities exist – even when they appear absent?
Are you willing to reexamine these aspects of yourselves and your daily life, where you often operate on autopilot without giving them much thought? Can you do this? Is this an option within you – between you and yourselves? This is the question – the suggestion we offer you at this time.
As you approach what February brings with it, know that you must carve a path for yourselves. Know that within what exists, you must discern what you want and create it. Sometimes, the path will be clear – often, it will be concealed. At times, it will not exist at all, and you will need to pave it yourselves. Sometimes, the path you are called to walk will contradict your usual perceptions – presenting a challenge.
You may have to face various people and situations that attempt to divert you from what is right for you. Whether the resistance is internal or external – or both – you may find yourselves required to forge your own path this month. Some of you may feel exhilarated by this, while others may feel sorrow. Some may even feel broken along the way. Some may say there is no hope, no possibility – that it is too challenging, too difficult. That it is better to go with the flow, to conform to the expectations and demands of others, to accept what is currently available. Some of you may reach this point – feeling within yourselves that there is no chance, no point – so you might as well surrender.
We suggest that you do not surrender. We encourage you to continue along your path and to continue being who you are. This is a significant and meaningful proposition – it is not given lightly – for the challenges you face are real, and the pressures you may experience will be no less real. Reality may seem undeniable – the sense of impossibility may feel so tangible that you will not see how it could be otherwise. It will be very easy to despair.
We suggest that you do not despair. We suggest that you do not give up. This proposition is offered with great sincerity – perhaps the truest we can express. With fear, and despite fear, it is worthwhile for you to choose yourselves – to remain true to yourselves. You do not need to pay a price for this – remember this – even though, during this month, reality may often seem to demand that you choose between yourselves and yourselves. That is, between the part of you that seeks to get along, to avoid disruption, to succeed within what exists – and the part of you that wishes to break through with a new truth, to live more fully, to expand into your entirety.
Sometimes, this will cause upheaval – shifting reality here and there – making it impossible for you to live in calm and peace.
We suggest that you do not abandon yourselves. We suggest that you remain true to yourselves. We invite you to listen inward once more – to examine what your truth is – and to continue staying connected to it. Even if you do not rush to implement it, even if you do not immediately change your entire life accordingly – remain connected to your truth. Do not forget yourselves.
Circumstances may make it easy for you to forget. The sense of impossibility, lack of time, lack of space, lack of money – these may all feel so real and tangible that you might quickly tell yourselves – if it doesn’t exist, if there is no option, if there is no time, if there is no money, if there is no space – then there is no point. Let us give in, let us adjust, let us compromise.
We suggest that you do none of this.
We suggest that you allow yourselves to be exactly as you are – and to continue being exactly as you are.
Even if you do not know exactly who you are, even if the path is unclear, even if you must pave it yourselves – that is, to reexamine your desires, passions, and dreams, and to make various choices. Perhaps, at times, to rearrange priorities, perhaps, at times, to place yourselves first – above others, above everything else. Even if this month requires you to do all of this, we encourage you to do so. We certainly encourage you not to give up.
You are important – profoundly important. Each and every one of you is important. The most significant thing is that you learn just how important you are to yourselves and how much you can be there for yourselves.
This month also brings with it the opportunity – how shall we say – to connect with sources of inspiration and creation. It carries with it a certain lightness, allowing you to connect more deeply with inspiration, with creativity, and to create for yourselves what you need and desire.
It can be said that if circumstances might lead you to despair, then connecting to sources of creativity and inspiration can give you strength. At times, as we have conveyed, you may experience the impossibility of reality, and at other times, you may experience a sense of lightness. Suddenly, possibilities arise, inspiration for something new appears, and a desire for something different emerges. Suddenly, you may find yourselves able to live in this way or that, to move here or there. You may suddenly feel all of this – and then you may ask yourselves: What do I want?
It is not always about knowing the answer, which is why we suggest that you remember how important lightness is – how essential it is to approach all of this with a sense of play. Do not take things too seriously; it is okay to be just a little… let a bit more playfulness, a bit more ease, enter into these questions.
Fear and doubt weigh you down and make you overly serious. We suggest that you cultivate a lightness that stems from the idea that what you want is possible. If you operate from this starting point – that what you want is possible – it will be easier for you to explore and ask yourselves what you truly desire, and we encourage you to do so.
You may imagine this sense of lightness as an entity, occasionally connecting with it and drawing from its energy, discovering where it takes you as you follow the path of your own being.
With pleasure, farewell.
Tohar.
